Mihai Traistariu to perform with C.C. Catch in her Bucharest concert

Romanian singer Mihai Traistariu will perform a duet with C.C. Catch on the Palace Hall stage, in the concert that the Dutch artist will give in Bucharest on April 11, organizers of the concert, Project Events and Besteventm, said.

Traistariu is one of the Romanian artists with the most achievements on international level. For his voice, which can cover five octaves and a third, he was invited by specialists to attend the famous ‘Guiness Book’ show in Germany.

According to the same sources, C.C. Catch will perform one of her songs together with Traistariu.

Born Caroline Catharina Muller, C.C. Catch became famous to the public with hits such as "In the Backseat of Your Cadillac," "I Can Lose My Heart Tonight," "Soul Survivor," "Heartbreak Hotel," "Jump in my Car" and "Heaven and Hell."

Born in The Netherlands, the artist moved to Germany in the late 1970s and began her music career as member of the band Optimal.

Dieter Bohlen, the artisan of the duo Modern talking, noticed her during a concert in Hamburg and offered her the chance to collaborate with him. It was him who convinced Caroline to change her name into C.C. Catch and to sign a contract with Hansa records. The artist’s debut single was “I Can Lose My Heart Tonight,” in 1985.

Their collaboration lasted for four years, until 1989, and was one of the most successful music partnerships of all times, the two releasing a total of four albums and 12 singles.

Over her career, C.C. Catch released five albums: "Catch the Catch" (1985), "Welcome To The Heartbreak Hotel" (1986), "Like A Hurricane" (1987), "Big Fun" (1988), "Here What I Say" (1989), and eleven Best Of compilations.
